Can I install two harddrives one from Windows 98se on IBM to HP Pavilion Media Center PC w/Windows Vista?
sicurry asked:
I think the old one is a Sata HD-If I hooked it up in my new computer, would it boot up as is or would I have to format it and erase everything? If it can work, how would I load it?
I have never had 2 hardrives in one computer, so excuse me if I seem so ‘dah’.

Is a “media-Center-PC” the same as a decent PC running Windows-XP Media Center?
silicon_valley_geek asked:
If I start with a modern PC with a decent graphics card and a DVD writer, and if I install Windows-XP Media Center Edition on it, does it become a Media Center PC? I kind of doubt that, but I need to know what else I need to add. Are any of the followings necessary or desired: a TV tuner, dual TV tuner, S-Video output, firewall connection, DVI connection?

What are some tips to perform a system recovery on a Windows XP Media Center pc?
hammerhawk asked:
I am wondering which files I need to backup? How long a system recovery process takes to complete from start to finish? Any other preparations I need to do prior to running the recovery? Any tips on these questions or any other basic things I should know would be greatly appreciated.

How Can I Get Rid of the “replace your wireless mouse battery” Warning on my HP Media Center PC?
BLP asked:
I just replaced the batteries on my wireless mouse for the first time and now whenever I use it I get a “replace your wireless mouse battery” warning about every 10-15 seconds. It is exceptionally annoying. I can’t figure out how to get rid of this warning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My mouse has no reset button, only a “connect” button, which I pushed, but I still get the error. I went to my mouse settings, but there is no “configure settings”. There is a “hardware” tab, and I looked at both “settings” and did the “troubleshooting” procedure, neither of which helped.
