Gladys

If using media center, only .wmv files will work. If they are Divx .avi files you need to use the video option under the media blade and choose your computer as the source.

You can also add the folders from the xbox 360 in media center extender mode.
On the 360 media extender, go to tasks, settings, library setup.
Add a folder to watch. Now the 360 will check that folder for new videos when you add them.

Hope it works for you.

Shane

If you want TV, you'll need an MCE TV tuner. You don't state your video board. If you want to drive a TV, you may need to upgrade. You don't state whether you want to use XP or Vista. For XP, you'll need the MCE video decoder.

Yes, Most New AMD processors can run any operating system, their performance is spectacular. Especially in your situation i would use the Sempron processor.

Katherine

It depends on the model of Sempron Processor....but in general yes it could probably run it based on the other specs you have listed.

Only ATI has a combo video/tv tuner cards called all-in-wonder.
Or you can use seperate cards, up to you.

Gerald

depends on what kind of expansion slot you have. PCIX or PCI-Express? AGP? PCI?

I figure it is a newer system so I would figure PCIX. Personally, I detest nVidia. I would go with the ATI X series. I have a nVidia now and am thinking of going ATI. However, if you only have AGP, I would go with the ATI 9XXX series. Only because I detest nVidia so much.

Whatever you do, DONT BUY A GEFORCE 4000 MX. It is the worst "high end video card". Even at 256mb, it is still not supported by any online games that are worth playing.
