How do I network my Windows XP Pro PC and my Windows Media Center PC?

I have them both in the same workgroup and can see the media center PC when I browse from the XP Pro PC but it says that I am not authorized to access the Media Center PC when I try to access it to map Drives. It is a wired network using a Linksys router. I can access other XP boxes from this xp box on the network fine.

If you have a shared folder on every machine, networking should work just fine.
some times you may need to login with same user name and password in the machines.
Also, check whether the particular user is given access permission for that folder in sharing.
Easiest way is to create the same accounts with the same passwords on all of the computers on the network.
