What is the best way to hook up my HP a1530n Media Center PC to my Yamaha HTR-5830 Home Theater?

The easiest way is to use an “MP3″ or Dual RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack. Hook it up from the headphone out of the PC to the RCA inputs on your HTR-5830
There are also some premium converters that are on the market that allow you to get a digital output through Toslink or Digital RCA to get surround sound. You can find some by looking for
“MP3 Bridge”
Your PC has a S/PDIF coax out. Connect that directly to a s/pdif input (coax) in your receiver.
